Innolux was established in 2003. In 2006, the stock was listed in Taiwan. In March 2010, it merged with Chi Mei Electronics and Toppower Optoelectronics, which is the largest merger in the history of the panel industry. Innolux is the surviving company and retains Chi Mei Electronics as the company name. In order to differentiate the Chi Mei brand, it was renamed Innolux in December 2012.
